Wellness Warrior Workshop: Motivation

Now more than ever in our fast paced lives, we are becoming more aware of the critical role mental wellness plays in order to become the best versions of ourselves.

The Wellness Warrior Workshops are designed to teach individuals about the essential tools they require to create more fulfillment – both in their personal lives and in their professional roles. Our first topic of focus is on the role motivation plays in our lives.

The 3 in depth components of our workshop incorporate personalized coaching while diving deep to uncover more about ourselves and what ignites motivation in our own lives.

1. Life and business coaching.

2. Meditation and mindfulness training.

3. Mental health and coping with stress.

You will be provided with a workbook to complete along with experts to walk you through the day and answer questions about your journey! By being hands on with our learnings we are able to come away with tangible plans for a successful future.

The workshops will be led by our talented life coach, Julianna Veldtman, meditation experts from Shady Ape, and Brandi Gruninger, registered psychologist. Having these experts ensures our warriors receive the best possible benefits and receive tangible advice & feedback from the sessions.

Julianna Veldtman is a Conscious Leadership coach, facilitator, speaker, and certified mindfulness and mediation teacher. She has dedicated her life to the pursuit of DIVINE ALIGNMENT, JOY and LOVE. Julianna uses her gifts to guide leaders deeper into their own humanity, self-awareness and true expression,  moving them to a level of service and significance that can only be achieved when we know who we are and bravely set ourselves free to be seen and known in that truth.  She works with organization to create a culture of caring where everyone leaves better than they came, and the company succeeds on all fronts. 

Shady Ape founders Shay and April are passionate about mindfulness and the power it has to transform and connect. Shay’s meditation practice is rooted in the Vipassana practice. She’s a Certified Meditation Teacher, with training from Lifestyle Meditation and is passionate about research, community, and kindness. April is a teacher, mindfulness educator, and trauma-informed practitioner who has completed her 200-HR yoga teacher training. She loves international travel, horseback riding, nachos, and commuting on her vintage road bike. Shady Ape offers bi-weekly drop in meditation classes, 1:1 mindfulness coaching, mindful apparel, and workshops. 

Brandi Gruninger is a registered psychologist and owner of Evolution Psychology in Sherwood Park. During her fifteen years of practice: both in non profits and private practice, she has developed a passion for working with adolescents. Her specializations are anxiety and depression in teens, self-harm, disordered eating and body image, post partum mental health, and healthy relationships. She runs the Chrysalis group for teen girls and the Willow group for women who are recovering from abuse. In addition to her work with clients, Brandi enjoys mentorship activities such as training master’s students and supervising provisional psychologists. Brandi has been involved with various community projects, including the Regional Walk Against Domestic Abuse, the Semi-Colon Tattoo project, Wellness Warriors Workshops, and YEG Boss Babes. She also enjoys doing workshops for various schools and organizations.
